something has always bothered me about facebook: it's a personal communcation tool, and everything in it reflects that: private messages, public wall posts, notes, im.
yet the home page (the "newsfeed") just shows you other people's one-to-one communications. it's sort of stalkerish.
my friend brian started posting "i love you" messages one by one on the walls of his good friends, trying to "brighten someone's day". most of us don't pay enough attention to those who we love.
sending that back to him called for more than just writing him back on his wall. what if everyone he wrote to could respond collectively to him? to infuse the newsfeed with real human communication?
we sent brian back a message by updating our statuses very quickly in backwards order, so it would show up forwards on his newsfeed.
