what's the internet (to you)?

i posted a question: "what's the internet to you? respond however you like" on facebook.
mostly teenagers.

1. The greatest source of free stuff and a laugh whenever I need it.
2. it is an easy way to get any information, if you know how to you use it.
3. my lifeline and connection to the outside world.
4. a great way to stay connected to loved ones and a valuable source of retrieving information
5. the best encyclopedia/research tool ever
6. an expansive source for words that arent my own.
7. Like if books and TV had a baby that you can control.
8. more like can't control - and computer viruses are like two years olds - they never listen and they go wild
9. to me the internet means an easy source of porn
10. the world at your fingertips. without even having to stand up.
11. a cloud space, extacy of life, a trap of consciousness, a breeder of minds, fame, forever fleeting, never changing, never the same, but so far...limited
12. a) connection - to people, information, friends, total strangers that share the same interests as me (other writers, mostly)
    b) ultimate procrastination tool
    c) freedom of speech - to some extent
    hmmm...there's more, give me a sec...
    d) a huge networking tool for artists and writers and people who don't like their day jobs and need somewhere to express themselves
    ummm...
    e) really just a showcase for humanity, for causes and beliefs and resentments and so forth. sometimes, it seems like one big high school...but those are the bad days
